Balmain Uhren

Balmain Watches was born from the fusion of two worlds: on the one hand, the style of the Parisian haute couture fashion house Pierre Balmain, and on the other, the Swiss watchmaking and technical expertise of the Swatch Group. Balmain watches are expressions of refinement and character, reflecting the elegance and aesthetic sensibility of their haute couture heritage.

History of Balmain watches

The fashion house Balmain was founded in 1945 by the French designer Pierre Balmain (1914–1982). Its headquarters are still located in Paris, France. The watch brand, known as Montres Pierre Balmain, is based in Saint-Imier in the Jura-Arc region of Switzerland. It was licensed to the Swatch Group in 1995.

The key features of Balmain watches

What makes Balmain watches so special is the unique combination of French couture DNA and Swiss craftsmanship. The most recognizable style element is the graceful arabesque pattern on the dial. These undulating, floral details are directly derived from the exclusive fabrics and embroidery from Pierre Balmain's original fashion collections.

The target group for Balmain watches

With a strong focus on the female market, Balmain appeals to the fashion-conscious woman of today. The brand offers the perfect balance between French couture history and high-quality Swiss craftsmanship. Instead of a standard fashion brand watch without horological value, these women consciously choose the reliability of Swiss Made and the exclusive design of a historic Parisian fashion house.

Balmain watches for women

Step into the world of couturier Pierre Balmain with a Balmain women's watch. The master's touch is evident in the details: the recurring graceful ‘Arabesque’ pattern, subtle use of high-quality mother-of-pearl, and sharply cut ‘dauphine’ hands for optimal light-dark contrast and excellent readability.

The basic colors of Balmain women's watches are silver and gold. Additionally, for most models, you can choose between bicolor (silver-gold) and bicolor rose (silver-rose gold). Furthermore, the brand offers a wide selection of different types of dials, stripe indices, (Roman) numerals, or diamond indices.

Balmain watches for men

The main focus of Balmain watches being women, it is no surprise there not that many mens watches in the collection. The Classic R mens watches are available in several different colors and are perfect for the style conscious modern man.

Balmain watches with luxury details

All Balmain watches feature scratch-resistant sapphire glass. The cases and bracelets are made of high-quality 316L stainless steel. The luxurious appearance of Balmain watches is further expressed through the application of high-gloss coatings and the perfect finish of the case and bracelet. On many models, the brand name is subtly engraved on the side of the watch case, or the 'PB' emblem is incorporated into the dial with a mirror effect.
For an extra touch of luxury, Balmain always uses real diamonds as a decorative element or hour markers.

The different Balmain lines

The Balmain watch collection is divided into several characteristic lines. Although they all share the typical Balmain look, each line has its own focus in terms of design and functions.

Balmain de Balmain

Balmain de Balmain is the brand's most important collection. It is a line of very feminine watches with refined steel bracelets in silver, gold, and bicolor. The richly decorated dials are often equipped with a moon phase. This is the line in which the delicate arabesque motif on the dial is most prominently featured.

Be Balmain

Be Balmain is a sleek, contemporary line that focuses on flowing lines and balanced proportions. Subtle details, such as a recessed moon phase in the glossy dial, where light plays with refined accents like the applied hour markers and minute dots.

Haute Elegance

Haute Elegance is a romantic watch line inspired by designs from the seventies and eighties. The watch cases are round or oval, and the saddle screw attachment of the leather strap gives the watch a fashionable retro vibe.

Eirini

The watches in the Eirini line are inspired by architectural, sleek forms and feature a rectangular case, creating a vintage, Art Deco look. Special dials made of colorful (semi-)precious stones add an extra touch of luxury.

Balmainia

The Balmainia line by Balmain is designed for the fashion-conscious woman who loves a chic-sporty, contemporary look. Within the Balmain collection, this line stands out because it is more playful and dynamic than the classic models. Dials and rubber straps are decorated with a retro PB logo. Mother-of-pearl and real diamond indices elevate the design.

Classic R

The Classic R line is aimed at both men and women. These are classic metal watches with Roman numerals and a date window at the 6 o'clock position.

Beleganza

The Beleganza watch exudes pure, understated luxury and is perfectly suited as an everyday business watch. The slightly thicker bezel surrounding the glass gives the watch depth and draws the eye to details such as strikingly colored mother-of-pearl dials and diamond indices.

Taffetas

Taffetas is Balmain's latest watch line. The watch features a perfectly balanced asymmetrical hexagonal case. The links of the bracelet also reflect this unique shape. The beveled edges of the case, bezel, and bracelet create a dynamic play of light with every wrist movement.
